Quinton Patterson

Quinton I. Patterson was born on February 1, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of Ms. Daphne Patterson and the great-grandson of Bro. Isaac Judson Edmonds. His great-grandfather was a diligent worker in the Church of Christ, and since Quinton was very close to his great-grand father, this had a major impact on his life.

With his great-grandfather as a role model, Quinton grew up in the Church. On August 8, 1995, at the age of fourteen, he was baptized by the late Jesse Mack at the Brooklyn Church of Christ. Young Quinton began preaching the gospel of Christ at the age of fifteen. He was taught the expository style of preaching by Bro. David Wilson, the minister of the Kings Church of Christ in Brooklyn, New York. Because of the tutelage and influence of Bro. Wilson, Quinton refers to him as his “father in the gospel.” Quinton has a deep passion for expository preaching, counseling, teaching and training God’s people. He believes that a preacher literally becomes the oracle of God through exposition of the Word.
Quinton moved to Terrell, Texas in 2007 to attend Southwestern Christian College. In April 2008, he became the Youth Minister at the Central Pointé Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. It is in this position that he currently serves. He says he thankful for his ability, and he will use it for the glory of God.
