Duane Johnson

Deacon Duane L. Johnson is a native of Flint, Michigan. He became a Christian at an early age while worshiping at the North Central Church of Christ, and has always taken pride in being of service to the Lord. Church leadership is of the utmost importance to Duane, and he takes his servitude to the membership very seriously.

Because of his dedication to God he has been blessed to serve in many capacities at numerous congregations. While growing up in Flint, he learned to work in the service as well as participate in the building of God’s kingdom. During the time he resided in Los Angeles, CA he worshiped with the Normandie Church of Christ and was an active participant in the Married Couples, Youth and Men’s ministries. He has also assisted in the building of new congregations through his financial expertise and administrative experience.

He is married to LaJoyce and has two children: Donovan and Jordan. Because of his dedication to family and his commitment to the community, he is the President of the Adelle Turner Elementary School P.T.A. and has also served on the board of the Martin Luther King Center in South Dallas.

He is a college graduate, and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business Management and Marketing. He is currently employed by Bank of America where he is an Assistant Vice President and Banking Center Manager. In 2004, he launched a consulting company by the name of J-4 Management which provides financial counseling through seminars and individual consultation.

Upon becoming a member of CPCC he has worked in many capacities. He is currently Co-Director of the Education Department. His duties include the maintenance of the Sunday school and Bible Class components of the ministry. He is also the current leader of the “Jubilee” Ministry, which is responsible for the special events that take place at Central Pointe. He participates with the Family Life Ministry and works diligently to be accessible and available to address the needs of his brothers and sisters in Christ.
